The rhetoric around this, fyi, has made it pretty clear that the intent around this is to give police a greenlight to arrest protestors wearing masks, even though it's substantially broader in wording.

Don't worry about it -it would either die in the House, or be vetoed by the Governor, and overturned by the state Supreme Court.  Even with its current configuration.

I would not assume any of these except the veto! The NC Republican Party is foaming at the mouth over the recent protests at UNC Chapel Hill (they already diverted millions of dollars away from DEI to the Campus Police) and there's a desire to take some sort of legislative action.
