President Al Gore (D-TN) / Vice President Joe Lieberman (D-CT)
Governor George Bush (R-TX) / Fmr. Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney (R-WY) ✓

Better coordinated backlash to Lewinsky Scandal that brings out the religious right- then the dot-com crash starts on President Gore's watch right before the election. Lieberman is moderate enough that congress approves him as VP, and that doesn't help Gore in Portland. A small, but electorally significant shift.

Inb4 muh Gore landslide
Seems about right give or take Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Minnesota. I would assume the Republicans hold onto their Senate seats in Minnesota, Michigan, and Washington in addition to picking up New Jersey and Nebraska.
