On the other hand, he seems genuinely interested in international politics. I don't share most of his opinions on issues, but I think gaffes are not a reason to make someone the Forum's punching bag (see Snowstalker). Neutral.

I prefer giving people the benefit of the doubt. I don't know how old is he. I assume he might be still a teenager, like many people on this forum. It's not strange to see people changing their minds when they grow up a bit, as someone suggested in that thread.

Ah. In that case my opinion is that he needs to grow up a bit, with regard to his opinions on the poor. The 'poor oppressed' Snowstalker and the gang who likes to beat up on him too.
