Three days. Liam Fox and Kenneth Clarke proceed to the runoff.

This would probably be the worst case scenario for the Conservatives in real life as both Fox and Clarke were for all intents and purposes unacceptable to significant, key, parts of the Party. Centrists (the Tory Reform Group) in the case of Fox and Eurosceptic opinion (Cornerstone and No Turning Back Group) for Clarke.

...mostly by people who aren't conservatives at all. That's the problem with open primaries.

I agree. In reality, Fox probably would have won, although it would have been close.
