Even when you forfill these requirements, you still only get a second grade citizenship. Fx if immigrated from the US when you where 5 years and choses to become Danish citizen when you are 15 (that is the classic time, when you get your first passport) - at the age of 22 you meet the love of your life, a sweet American girl and marry her, you can't bring her to Denmark, eventhough it is your homecountry because you two combined are closer connected to USA. That is in my book a second grade citizenship. I'm quite sure that most American would find our immigration politics disgusting if they take a closer look. After all, you are all immigrants or the decendants of immigrants

What's the difference between a second grade citizenship and a normal one?
