I would say yes, on average.

Not in music, but in every other aspect, I have seen from personal experience that those with artistic talent are more liberal, quieter, and more submissive.

Well, you obviously have never met artists with a temperament before.

Yes, I've found that there are four main types of artists in the modern world:

1. The "wow I am so deep" artist.  The WIASD artist can't be bothered to create anything remotely resembling anything in the least, nor can he make his abstract art even appealing, and he justifies his less than attractive art by claiming that it's some sort of amazing examination of the nature of life or a random human emotion.  He makes up for the fact that his creation is just stacked pieces of garbage or three solid lines on a canvas by creating a five-hour spiel on why you should like it instead of thinking that the artist is simply untalented.  The WIASD artist gets very incensed if you dare to tell him the truth, which is that 99% of people think that the things he creates are retarded, and that the only ones he's really fooling are the art critics.

2. The morbid "nobody understands me" artist.  The MNUM artist usually never gets any of his stuff actually put on display in an art gallery, but he is nonetheless convinced that he is the best artist in the history of mankind and that everyone else simply doesn't understand the genius behind his works.  Most (if not all) of his art projects revolve around heavily uplifting topics such as "death", "hate", and "the hopelessness of life".  The MNUM artist can sometimes be actually reasonably talented, but he more than makes up for that by being the most condescending ass that you've ever met.

3. The "one-hit wonder" artist.  The OHW artist did one thing really well, and because it was so successful, he decided to base his entire career off of doing that same thing over and over again.  What this is exactly can vary, but you can rest assured that no art project from the OHW artist will exist without it.  The OHW artist usually has a very dedicated fan base who absolutely love the one thing he can do, but everyone else would really like to see something new for a change.

4. The "hey, maybe I don't need to validate my life with my art" artist.  The category of HMIDNTVMLWMA artist is the category that includes me.  HMIDNTVMLWMA artists are the types who may or may not be talented, but who possess the rare characteristic that they actually enjoy life and that their lives do not revolve around having people compliment their art.  Sure they'll like it if you like their art, but they're not going to rip your head off if you don't.  HMIDNTVMLWMA artists usually actually have other hobbies aside from art.

By the way, any stereotypes you've heard about modern art are mostly absolutely true.  During my vacation in Manhattan, I took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the modern art section was, in fact, literally 90% filled with canvases with a few solid lines and not much else.

I was very glad to find my way into the adjacent classical European section. Tongue

I should note, though, that some of them were pretty cool.  One that I especially liked was named after me. Cheesy

Gabu, I play guitar and draw sometimes, I don't try drawing anything specific, so I call it "abstract".  I know this is an excuse for sucking horribly, and I don't give a care.  What would this classify me as?

If you're not one of the first three, you're the fourth, and let me personally thank you profusely for this fact. Cheesy

Was it a painting of Gabumon?

Har har. Tongue

No, there's this one really cool piece of modern art in the museum that was entitled "Lucas".  It's kinda hard to describe, though.
