I find it kind of interesting that you would say this:

Wow, what a superb job of dishonesty and distortion. Usually it's a nice hint when two quotes are presented and they aren't complete nor are they speaking to the same issue.

...and then go on to post something with an equally dishonest and distorted subject line.

They're not calling for the banning of knives; they're calling for the banning of knives that are both long and pointed under the premise that such knives are completely unnecessary and only lead to impulsive murders.

Make of that statement if you will, but please try not to show such blatant hypocrisy.

What garbage. This is the kind of thing you can expect in a socialist country run by bureaucrats. What will they do after some enterprising thug takes a butter knife and sharpens a point on it? Or if they use a piece of broken glass to  stab someone, or maybe use a hammer to pound someones brains out. Looks like you have to put every Englishman in a padded cell, with only paper plates to eat off.

Uh, are you proposing that these people not be allowed to suggest something?  That doesn't seem very libertarian of you. Tongue

Gabu,

You REALLY don't understand the point beng made.

These loons refuse to comprehend the basic concept that PEOPLE wield knives, the knives don't weild themselves.

Next thing you know, they'll want to ban cricket bats.

Oh, the proposition is very stupid, for sure.

I just don't really care about the fact that it's being made.  It's not like the UK's goverment sounds overly receptive to it.
