In a debate she will likely demolish Trump on his protectionist BS if he keeps it up. Trump's whole fair trade scam is mostly just fluff, when he has to talk about it in depth or is pressed by somebody knowledgeable it gets ugly for him.

With Hillary being a protectionist herself right now, I'm curious how she'd demolish him.  They pretty much agree.

She can still pivot into some kind of middle sane ground on trade.

The problem Donald has is that he has no idea how to do anything different, his idea of substance on trade consists of saying the word deal over and over again.

Donald Trump is "a free trader. The problem is we're getting ripped off." There is no better 'middle ground' than that.

If he was a free trader he wouldn't run around screaming protectionist scare tactics every time he talks about trade. He would be able to build a compelling case for why free trade is important and why we must stand against those that are in the way of it.

The problem is Donald is only able to scare and rile people up, he is incapable of offering any real solutions.
