Should be noted that other polls have Trump doing not quite *that* badly among blacks.  E.g., the recent Pew poll has him at 7% in the 2-way matchup:

Trump is doing mildly better with Latino's than I thought he would be at polling at 24% support with them. I thought he would be polling at 15% with them.

Trump is getting killed with Women by 24% points though and with college grads(but not post grad) 54-38%.

Trump is doing closer to the lower medium end of the Black Vote that Republicans have done in the past:

McCain 5% of the Black Vote in 2008
Romney 6% in 2012
Reagan 8% in 1984
Bush W. 8% in 2000

The High End:

Reagan 14% in 1980
Bush H.W. 12-13% in 1988
Dole in 1996 with 13%(because of Kemp being VP candidate.)
Bush W. 12% in 2004

Didn't realize blacks were subject to such groupthink.  I wonder if Ben Carson was the R nominee what kind of percentages he would've received.
Mostly Black People live or are right near major cities(think Baltimore City or the Atlanta Suburbs.) The Atlanta Burb's I think are full of Black Northeast Transplants who probably once lived in New York City area's which are Super Democrat. For example  I read once about Black Population Density and the Black Vote in Presidential Voting and it took a county with a population that was 81 or 84% Black(I forget which) to get to Obama's 2012 total of 93% of the Black Vote that he achieved. Counties with a 1-38 or 39% Black Population actually vote majority Republican.
