We signed this convention back in 2006 but, unlike virtually every other major country,  never got around to ratifying it.

I don't have a problem with joining the Optional Protocol, but I think it'd require a presidential signature before we could consider it.

I don't believe it would necessitate substantial changes to Atlasian law—this report identifies a few areas of improvement, but by and large Atlasian disability law is a global leader.
