Let's be real here and clarify that the union support trending Republican is very likely male union support. White guys working in male-dominated fields that require not-too-much education. To put it differently, other trends are spilling over and affecting how people who are coincidentally union members vote.

I highly doubt teachers and nurses are significantly trending Republican.
