Hopefully all the defeated Democratic ex-Senators will remind incumbent Democratic Senators what can happen to them if they oppose AIPAC.

But very few lawmakers actually oppose AIPAC (and the idea of lawmakers being taught to fear an interest group is a bit worrisome in itself).
