Why not? Nice part of the US vs. one of the most interesting cities of Europe. Would presumably be a dilemma for many Americans (70% of posters according to our citizenship poll) and some Canadians. Berlin is also a pretty rude place, so while a great town to visit living there long time might not be that pleasant.

Richmond (if by living we are talking more than half a year). Berlin would grind me down in the long run.
