Voted without looking at the previous posts. Weird to have the same ranking as Hash, but I guess we both dislike bland flags sporting Union Jack.

3 Newfoundland and Labrador

I actually like New Brunswick's flag, a shame you are going after that this early.

I will second that, its the worst of the remaining provincial flags, even if both NWT and Yukon are more bland and less aesthetically pleasing, but better and more fitting to get rid of them together later on.

Save New Brunswick.

Does anyone know why they chose yellow and white as the basic colours for the Nunavut flag? It looks odd. If the colours had been blue and white for sea and ice with a yellow star on the blue this would have been a really nice flag, now its just so-so.

It almost breaks the sensible heraldic rule that metals (gold=yellow and silver=white) should not touch each other. Even if there is red in between, yellow and white in such a dominant way is not good. Though it's obviously much better than this ugly rag Wink

I think Nunavut is the worst because of its colour combination, which is quite ugly and ruins an otherwise all right design. New Brunswick is a bit cluttered, to say the least, but more pleasing to the eye (red and yellow may be my favourite heraldic combo). Quebec has too wide a cross, but is otherwise great. Nova Scotia would have been great without the shield, but is still refreshingly simple and its reversion of the Scottish colours is fine symbolism. I will wait to see if its going to be necessary to defend New Brunswick.

A. Nova Scotia - the shield ruins it, Saskatchewan's shield is in the same colours as the flag, which makes it a lot less visually disturbing.

B. New Brunswick - too complex for a proper flag.
