I'm ok with it. Rather than looking at voting for the poorest candidate, I vote for who would do the best job. It's not like he's going to have a $1 billion campaign like the party he's running against and I'll leave it at that for now.

Not our fault you don't have any small donors.......

Obama is the one with the $1 billion campaign led by George Soros and Warren Buffet.

I'm very much looking forward to the general election campaign:

Hate to tell you this, but it worked for JFK and FDR.  Smiley

Problem is Romney isn't Kennedy or FDR in this race, he closer to Nixon and Hoover.

Ah, the only state Nixon lost was MA in 1972.  You might want to use another analogy.

Mitt Romney isn't running for re-election.  And you're the one who brought up JFK, whose opponent was whom?

Yes, it was the poor Richard Nixon, who went on to be elected twice.

How I look at it is that by mentioning his wealth, Romney reminds voters that he has had success in the private sector unlike Obama whose only success has been in government and liberal organizations. By bringing this up often, he makes Obama look like a candidate who is out of touch with what goes on beyond the Washington D.C. ivory tower and ruling class. I don't take it as elitist at all and think it's a great strategy to attract concerned voters who are struggling financially.  They can see Romney as an inspiration.

If your father was a corporate executive, you too can be successful!

Everyone! This ^^ is the exact mentality that is killing our nation faster than Al-Qaida. All over we're being overrun by the negative and lack of motivated mentality that actually believes that we need government to step in and take from some to give to others. "If your father is a corporate executive, you can be successful too!" Tell that to my grandfather who was raised on a farm in Ohio and went on to become Dean of Science and Engineering at a very prestigious college. Tell Bill Clinton that he can't become president because his dad wasn't a corporate exectuive. See this ^^ is the exact type of mentality our children are hearing at school, people are hearing from the media, and undecided voters are exposed to. I believe in America as a society where one creates there own wealth. The liberal from CA who just posted ^^ is proof that Obama's rhetoric is killing our country's spirit and further proof that we need to change what we have in the White House.

Yes, and there is a word for this loser mentality: Defeatism. It has always been imported into many parts of America from Europe, but imports are way up thanks to the advent of the Internet and such...

At least you admit it. Alot of you haven't come that far. Let me know if you would like to take a course in supply-side economics.
