Um, she's representing her state, which likely would agree with her on this vote. Most New Yorkers do not agree with the paranoid gun-huggers.

Well, if NY can't stand  moderates / conservatives, then explain how the hell Al D'Amato won three terms?

One three-way race and two of the most unlikeable candidates to ever grace the New York Democratic Party?

The suburbs and upstate used to vote a lot more Republican also.
