There's an NDP alderman in Calgary Huh or is that just his campaign colour?

IMO, I would give Nenshi an A+. One of the best politicians in the country.

Believe it or not, there is Tongue Well, to be fair, I'm not sure how affiliated he is with them these days.  But he did run as the federal NDP candidate for Calgary Southeast in 2004.  Those at the Manning Centre must still see him as a New Democrat though, they're training a known Liberal (James Maxim) to run against him this October, which speaks volumes considering how Albertan conservatives generally view Liberals.

As for Nenshi, I agree, he is a superb politician.  I actually meant to give him an A+, but the minus key is beside the plus key on my keyboard and in my haste I must've hit it instead >.> it's fixed now

Wow. I just looked up your ward. It takes in some of Calgary Centre, but not the more moderate parts. But I do see that Nenshi won the ward, so it can't be all that bad. It's strange that the Manning Centre would target municipal elections, but I guess that's Calgary for you.

Bloess is a Tory? I thought he ran for a Liberal nomination a while back?

Not sure what your School Trustee is, but I can't find any left wing endorsements, so she is probably a HP. I am at least happy that since I've moved back to McGuintyland that our Trustee is a Dipper.

I voted for my current school trustee because her daughter went to high school with me.

As good a reason as any to vote for someone for such a position. Tongue
