This is a poll to ask the general public their opinion of this in light of the education bills currentlyon the senate floor.

I personally would like to eliminate the public school system and possibly pay aid a bit towards poorer families just so that we can adjust to a private school system. If this cannot be achieved, I would at least like some kind of motion to allow kids and parents to choose a public school of their choice.

More funding. Private education is extremly costly, and a little finacial aid here and there wouldn't do the trick. Plus, where are private schools going to magically accomadate 50 million children who need an education.

Well, I wasn't saying we had to close down public schools, but we could take the tax burden off people and make those who are capable pay to attend. There's tons of people who are paying money to let rich kids go to school for free. Drastic things like this take baby steps. The quicker we start, the earlier we will be able to educate everyone with much less tax impact.

Why are there so many polls suddenly about various forum issues?

I did this so that people could hear my stance on this bill which I am currently very dissapointed in because it's winning, and give other non-senators like me a mouthpiece to give their opinion.
