I can confirm that mypalfish was last seen on this forum at around 10:45 PM Friday December 3rd. And, yes, I can confirm that mypalfish was viewing the "I will now accept my accolades" thread. I am sure he appreciates all the praise you have offered to him over this past month.

How can you confirm that he saw this thread?

I shouldn't have said I can confirm it because I have no evidence. However, I did see that he was logged on to the forum so I figured I'd check what thread he was viewing. He was here. As I said before, I'm sure he apprecaited everything he received  Smiley

I don't think he's quite done recieving it yet.  Smiley

We could, if you want, instead heap our mocking on a certain Libertarian pollster who predicted a Kerry victory right on through until late October, if you prefer.

Actually, from about early September onwards I consistently, time and time again posted that I though Bush was up "about a field goal" or so, which turned out to be pretty close..

"Play nice", and don't pick on The Vorlon... ok...?

Or I'll have to send a planet killer or something....

I'm not gonna pick on you, Vorlon.  I'm just gonna pick on people who have handles named after amphibians that claim they volunteered for the Bush campaign, but love to spread dishonest rumors about how his own campaign is in trouble and lost all confidence while at the same time promoting any good news for the campaign he is suppose to be working against.  Then these people keep on saying "I tried to tell you what is going on.  I really did."   and then asking for accolades the afternoon of the election based on some faulty exit polls.   Then going silent after the election over and they have been exposed for the fraud trolls they really are.

If the above paragraph doesn't describe you, then you have no need to worry.  Cause us Republicans won't pick on you.

Kerry will win, and Bush won't carry Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Michigan or Iowa.  The decision to waste time and money there will be proven to be idiotic.  And the GOP GOTV 72 hour plan will be a flop.  Everyone remember  this prediction and you can congratulate me later.

And if you are beyond wrong, can we point our fingers at you and laugh?  Wink

Absolutely, you can call me every name in the book and make fun of me for the next four years.  BUT I deserve the kudos if I'm correct....

This is what our fishy friend wrote on another thread.  So by his own words, we are now granted the right to call him names and make fun of him for the next four years.   Anybody else game for this?

This is the point at which I think it would be gentlemanly to stop.

Since when are we gentlemanly.  If you listen to Michael Moore, 75 percent of Hollywood actors, the Main Stream media, Western Eurpoe, and most of the Democratic leaders, we are evil Republicans who like to take health care away, pollute the planet, attack innoncent countries, and try to rule the world.   This is what tv tells us.  And if it's on television, lord knows it must be true.

Im glad he is back, He is one of the most Famous people in the forum.

He is definetly the most sought after poster now, even ahead of Vorlon

He's the most sought after poster now that we are not in election mood and we have nothing to do.   With no real polls to disect and analyze for the next year or so,  Vorlon has earned a well deserved vacation.   But as soon as truth and clarification is needed, we'll all be asking for Vorlon again.  If mypalfish is still around and posting when the next round of national elections heat up, we'll all be telling him to go away as he has lost all credibility here on this board.

Okay.  Fair enough.  I'll stop giving mypalfish a hard time now.  This thread has been more fun than a poster should be alowed to have, atleast it's been if you're a Republican.   But I guess even the funnest parties have to come to an end sooner or later.  The election is over and it's time to move on.  With next year being an off election year, I probably won't be visiting this forum quite as much, atleast until the 2006 mid-term elections start to heat up.

The only issue I really have with mypalfish is the thing with him working for the Bush campaign.  I still don't believe he was, but only he knows the real story and it's not that important to keep harping on.  All I have to say is that if he really was working for the Bush campaign, then he is beyond a shadow of a doubt the worst campaign worker in the history of national elections.  Not even the Kerry supporters on this board were as eager to spread as much doom & gloom propaganda about the Bush campaign being in trouble as him.   This thread is evidence of that as the afternoon of the election, he was so anxious to gloat over what he had been saying that he started way too prematurely based on exit polls and rumors.   He was ready to party even before the vocal Kerry supporters on this board were.    He can talk about working on the campaign, going to rallys, and shaking hands with the president all he wants.  He can say he did the macarena with Bush, Cheney, the Twins, and Karl Rove, but nothing will ever convince me that he was anything more than a Democrat Troll.  Not that I really care, even if it is true.  And like I said, only he will ever know the real story.

But oh well, it's been discussed more than enough and he has definenlty recieved his just punishiment with these 21 pages.   And as a previous poster has pointed out, it's given republicans on this board an excuse to gloat and extend their celebration after a hard fought win.

The things you miss when you have to go away for awhile.

I'm just glad Chumly posted and had a good sense of humor about it.

But, since we now know Wisoncisn is where he was, I know what happened to the 30 Bush GOTV cars that had their tires slashed.  Mypalfish did it in a fit of despondency!  Fess up!

Hee Hee.  That's good.  I never thought of that.  Maybe I've been wrong about him all along.  Maybe he really did work for the Bush campaign as a Kerry mole.  It all makes perfect sense now.   Excellent work.  We now must conduct a thorough investigation.  LOL.  Smiley

Bump, only because MFP hasn't posted in a while.

That hasn't stopped him from visiting this board.  Perhaps he's hoping that we'll all forget about this thread so the next time he talks about some inside track he has, people will take him seriously.  If that's the case, DON'T COUNT ON IT!!

Now that he's apologized, admitted his wrongness, and been humble about it, why don't we not beat a dead fish, guys?

Okay, the action on this thread has died down significantly, but not entirely since mypalfish came out of hiding.  Now, I'm all for moving on and not beating a dead fish.   But to say that he's apologized is just not an accurate statement.   He has only posted twice since the election ended and he stuck his foot in his mouth by starting this thread.   You got this one:

Nope, go ahead, I deserve the thrashing.

and this one:

Nope, go ahead, I deserve the thrashing.

I'll let you go, fish, for good, if you'll answer two more questions for me.

Why did you go around this forum pretending to be a Bush volunteer and crying out about how bad the Bush campaign was being run?

No one believed you and no one was going to believe you because (frankly) it was ludicrous on the face of it.

I am also wondering what you hoped to gain out of it.  Panic out of the Bush people or something?  Really, what was the point?

And finally, do you look like this in real life?

Actually, I really was a volunteer for the Bush campaign in Wisconsin, and even got to shake the President's hand after the rally at the Arena.

BTW, I'm quite a bit younger than that Abe Vigoda pic...

No where in either one of these two posts does he appologize for anything.  He just says go ahead and thrash me and then still insists that he really was a Bush volunteer who actually got to meet the president and shake his hand.  Of which I still don't believe a word of.   I truly find it insulting to my intelligence that somebody would try to pass themselves off as a Bush volunteer to make their claims of the Bush campaign being in peril and in a state of dissaray have some kind of validity and expect me to buy that pure and utter crap.   You see, I really did volunteer for the Bush campaign and I gave up an awful lot of my free time to help the President get re-elected.   And everyone I worked with, even when poll numbers looked bleak for Bush, would never even dream of saying the things that this guy was saying right up to the election.  For fish to try to pass himself off as a Bush volunteer and then never miss a change to try to spread doom and gloom throughout the election is a disservice to all of us who worked our tails off to get him re-elected.

I'm all for moving on and letting this issue die.   And I'm not trying to get him to appologize cause I could care less if he ever does or not.   But to say he's come clean and appologized is just not accurate and needs to be pointed out.  The fact is that he has NOT APPOLOGIZED for anything, nor has he admitted that he did anything wrong.  And I hardly call saying "I deserve the thrashing" as being humble about it.

Whatever, Fish.   Like I said, I really was a volunteer for the Bush campaign.  And I met a lot of great people this past election while volunteering.  Some were in their 70s and 80s and knew that this might be the last election they'd ever see.   And  We weren't always joyfully optomistic about Bush's chances to win.   But not one of us would have ever gone out and proudly spread the kind of doom and gloom you did in the weeks leading up to the election.

You took every opportunity thrown at you to say that Bush was toast and was going to lose.  And on election day, the first chance you had you came here to gloat and tell everyone you were right.   And for what?   So you could come to a message board and gloat to a bunch of strangers, who wouldn't know you if they passed you on the street, and say how right you were in predicting your own candidate's downfall?  The way I see it, this either makes you a troll or somebody who's truly got his priorities out of whack.  Even if there was any truthfullness in what you had to say, what purpose did it serve to come to a political message board that is used by Republicans, Democrats, and Indepenents and continue to say all that crap.  Seems like the only purpose it would serve would be to depress the Bush voters, the very same ones that you as a campaign worker (or so you say) are suppose to be trying to get to go to the polls and vote.   There's a fine line between being pesimistic about your campaign's chances and gleefully and joyfully anticipating every bit of bad news and spreading it around with the utmost pride.  Not once did you ever acknowledge or say anything good about Bush of his campaign.  But you took every tabolid story that portrayed the Bush camp as being in peril and every poll that showed Kerry leading and you posted it here like it was your own personal golden trophy.

Why don't you do us all a favor.  When the next campaign rolls around, please go work for the Democrats.   Because we don't need your kind on our side.

It would be interesting to know how many current posters are still here because of this one thread.   I joined this board in late summer/early fall of last year mainly for the soul purpose of getting election news and the inside details on all the polls.   When the election ended, I didn't have any plans to stick around here.   But this one funny ass thread is what kept me coming back here for the next two months after the election.   Had it not been for this, I can almost guarantee you that I probably would have never visited this site again after the election was over.

I wonder how many other people this thread kept from leaving this board.

This thread points out why you so urgently need a good sense of humour and a great deal of humility in politics.

Polls are great, and the usually work....

But sometimes they just utterly blow up.

Oh how true.   Allow me to illustrate what Vorlon is trying to say:
