This is a two part question

The object of this post is to see how people feel about taxes in relation to how much they have to pay. The last question is rather personel but no one will know who you are so please be honest.

1)Overall do you think federal spending and taxes are too high, too low or about right?

2) How much did you pay in U.S. Federal Income Taxes last year?

Example - you think taxes are too high and you paid $6000 in U.S. federal income tax - click option4.

David S,

I don't pay taxes, but I have an idea of how much my family pays. Should I vote?

I think for consistency we have to restrict the answers to just the person responding.

Why should we only count federal income taxes?  Many people didn't pay anything in federal income tax, but paid a very high percentage of their income in payroll taxes.

I was thinking of adding soc sec, medicare, state income and property tax, but decided that might take more time than the average poll taker was willing to spend. It might be a good question for a future poll though.
