kind of odd that he'd make a big issue out of whiskey.  must be the Catholicism.

I guarantee you he's more tolerant of alcohol than a lot of places in the U.S. are.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal in numerous counties in Mississippi even to possess alcohol in your own home for personal use. A lot of other states (Kentucky included) have dry counties where it's illegal to sell it (not just out on the street, but anywhere). So unless you're willing to repeal these laws, don't go after Chavez for much less.

After prohibition was repealed the responsibility for regulating booze was returned to the states. A few of them are pretty restrictive about it. I bitch about them too.
