Smash, you expect him to tell America that we're in the worst economic troubles probably since the 70s at least? What exactly would that accomplish besides exacerbating the situation and causing the public to go into a media driven frenzy?

Seriously, yes he's lying. Anyone who's paying attention knows that much. But you'd have to be clueless to think that he'd say any otherwise.

I know he is not going to go out and say the economy is garbage and don't expect him to However, you can still try and put your best face forward without sounding you live in some alternate universe.   

Why don't you play speech writer Smash. What would you have him say when talking about the economy on a day where one of Wall Street's biggest lenders just got bought for $2 a share?

No, I prefer to hear lies, especially when I know what's going on.
