Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous.
A while ago I remember watching Bill O'Reilly's show and he was talking about child predators who get light sentences. A man in Alabama raped his 12 year old adopted niece, got 2 months in jail. In Missouri a man who raped an 8 year old girl got 3 months jail time. A child predator in Montana raped a 3 year old boy, causing him internal injuries, sentenced to 5 years.
Notice, out of the cases I discussed, no outrage or disgust from do-gooders who think punishing a 17 year old for consensual sex is a good thing. Come on, there is no excuse for priding yourself on being tough on sexual immorality and letting child rapists off the hook.
You know, it's rants like this that send the Cynicism Meter crashing through the roof.
