There is evidence to support that claim: Mormonism does not fare well under the BITE model or Robert Lifton's 'Thought Reform' criteria. It doesn't help that Mormonism's foundations, and it's significant claims relative to other branches of Christianity, become lot more dubious when placed under critical examination; nor does it enjoy the obfuscation by the weight of history that Islam, Judaism, and other mainline branches of Christianity enjoy.

Moreover, I can critique its political structure, or it's belief systems, without passing judgement onto the average believer.

Mormons take a lot of heat around here.

But this is understandable. The other major religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc.) get to obfuscate their origins under 2,000+ years of history. Mormonism is much younger, its origins and history much more documented, and therefore collapses under a far lower bar of scrutiny.

Democrats aren't much interested in politicians who blame video games for gun violence. This isn't the 90s anymore.

Then how do you explain that basically the only thing the Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik did in the entire year before his mass killings was playing video games? No connection whatsoever? And it wasn't just any kind of video game. It was the single most violent there is out there. The combination mental illness and violent video games can be pretty deadly, just as the combination of mental illness and gun possession can be pretty lethal too.

Instead of worrying about video games why don't you worry about the fact that Brevick will be out of your prisons in about 18 years.

I would argue that radical feminists are the biggest roadblock to full equality for women, because if it weren't for them, then Schlafly and people like her wouldn't be able to stereotype all feminists as hairy, man-hating, bra-burning, pro-abortion lesbians.

Please stop taking my words out of context.  What I said is that by allowing abortion in cases of rape, you are sending the message to rapists that they bear no responsibility for abusing and impregnating women.  That victimizes women because it allows the rapist to bear no consequence for making the woman pregnant.
