Since most of you were born in the 80s and 90s I am curious what the first political event you remember is- Gore vs Bush?

For me, the earliest event I remember clearly is

My mother voted for Truman. I may remember her crying when FDR died but I am not sure if I am placing the memory accurately

How about you?

I'm 44.  When I was in the third grade I saw a Carter sticker on a Ford, a Ford sticker on a Chevy, and a Dole sticker on a banana.  It was all very confusing.

Ike smiling on the black and white tube, when he won the 1956 election, and I asked my parents, why he was so happy, when he knew he had it in the bag, so it was not as if it was a big surprise. I was just sort of 6 years of age at the time. I was into delta functions at a very young age. Smiley

Someone almost my age!
