One of the main reasons for my opposition to any strikes against Syria is the lack of plan of what to do about Assad. Russia is firmly behind Assad, helping him with ground support and air strikes, but what's the West plan? Syria is a very divided country, with a lot of ethnicities that loath each other, just like Iraq and Libya, and they would not funcionate under a democracy.

There is no plan.

It is typical thinking from Washington Foreign Policy apparatus. Just throw some bombs and lets see what happens.

This was totally planned and Russia knew about it in advance. Hillary would have done the same thing btw.

Yup.

Trump is an idiot, but the big issue is Washington's foreign policy establishment. Obama was the only who realized how stupid and pointless this sort of action is.
