In fact, I don't think Romneycare will hurt Romney one bit in the general. He's had SO much time to get his answer straightened out, and he seems to have done so already.

He's known since 2009 that Romneycare would be brought up. He never knew he would be attacked for being successful and lawfully paying 15% tax rate. He had 3 years to prepare for the former, 0 years for the latter. That's the difference.

His career at Bain Capital was always going to be brought since Kennedy used successfully against him 1994.
