While I agree that complaining about people in your book is a bad look, how can anyone deny that there is a long list of factors that deterministically contribute to someone losing an election, not all of which are under said candidates control?

Assuming that only the choices I gave in the OP are provided, which is the correct answer?

That doesn't answer his question. What's the answer?

The question asks who was 100% responsible, so there is no correct answer, because no one was 100% responsible.
