Glorious Leader Kim has set an election date for March 9, the same date as the 2009 elections. Ironically these elections matter, to determine whether Kim has consolidated a younger and more loyal power base.

Same rules apply as last time:
  • One candidate per constituency on the ballot
  • You are invited to drop the ballot straight into the box, while bowing
  • You must use both hands to cast the vote under the portraits of the Great Leader and Dear Leader
  • Security officers will check for those who didn't vote
  • Your friendly neighborhood security officer is also present on site, of course

Election day is tomorrow. The glorious Korean people are excited to express their supreme confidence in the reign stewardship of Generalissimo Kim Jong Un.

Kim himself is running in the Baekdusan constituency, perhaps to underscore his family lineage. Baekdusan is where the mythical founder of Korea Dangun descended from heaven. It's also where supposedly Kim Jong Il was born under a double rainbow while birds chirped in Korean and the winter spontaneously turned to spring.

In the last election turnout was 99.98%. We'll see what turnout is given this time.

Nice trolling and counter-trolling by the US and North Korea.
