We really can't afford anymore tax cuts. Romney knows that, surely the wealthy know that too.

Yes. The sad truth is that Santorum pushed the Romney campaign into a tough corner in Michigan.

The best bet moving forward is probably to point out that Obama will be forced to raise taxes on everybody at some point, probably soon, if re-elected simply because he will not sacrifice spending on his special interests. In contrast, Romney will ensure taxes do NOT go up for anybody because he is willing to cut spending.
Sadly he didn't win.
