He's really into the idea of extralegal violence, isn't he?

Either way, I maintain that the first purple-state governor to roust these mobs with reasonable force and charge them with the appropriate crimes will probably propel themselves into the thick of the Presidential conversation. People are sick of this s*** and only getting more so.

Obviously I don't agree with doing something that would cause permanent serious physical harm to these people, but they are the worst people in the country and deserve to be suffering far more than they currently are for these horrible stunts.

They are stupid and horrifically misguided, but do you prefer Proud Boys, Unite the Right, Groypers? AKA people who actually commit political violence?

I mean, they're all political radicals who want to cause chaos, intimidate their opponents, and elect Trump, so I don't see all that much difference anymore. There's a reason these people have even turned on the likes of Sanders and AOC.

Conservative brains are breaking once again because people are marching now? Yes, they are calling for death to America and waving terroristic flags but that's entirely their right. It's actually quite beautiful in a way as America is probably the only country in the world where they have the right to do that without facing punishment, and its a symbolic twist. Do I agree with them? Absolutely not. But how can you wake up and call ourselves the leader of the free world, and look in the mirror and say we are better than Russia or China when burning fabric and saying mean words makes you want people to go to jail?

It is in fact not their right to block bridges, occupy businesses, harass customers, and terrorize counterprotesters.

Let's be clear, if you throw someone over a bridge it's murder or attempted murder depending on the outcome. "I NEEDED TO GET TO WORK" is not self-defense. It's not even really about the inconvenience, people like Cotton just have a nature for violence and are looking for any excuse to kill someone who expresses views they don't like.

If someone tried to kidnap you, would you have a right to throw them off a bridge to stop them?

Throwing them off the bridge would likely come after you have taken control of the situation.

Self-defense doesn't include shooting a home invader who you've already restrained.

I do think people are entitled to use some sort of reasonable force to free themselves if the authorities won't do their job.

You’re giving up the rights playbook to how they plan to just run over those they don’t agree with in the road. Guess I was kidnapped last week when the two people in a car accident got me stuck on the freeway. Should have thrown ‘em off a bridge instead of just waiting annoyed I guess.

These mobs are engaging in illegal detainment, as is reflected by the charges filed against them in San Francisco. The car accident isn't equivalent.
