Nate McMurray seems like a solid one term placeholder candidate if Collins gets hit hard by this at the polls.

Why is this district so heavily Republican anyway?  It's mostly suburban Rochester and Buffalo which doesn't sound like a district that would be heavily Republican.

Why not? IIRC correctly Waukesha county (and other nearby) is both suburban, Republican and very conservative. IMHO - these are not contradictory statements...

We'll see. VA-05 should've been safe, but the Republicans went ahead and replaced Garrett with a Bigfoot erotica enthusiast. If they find a good candidate to run in his place, they're fine, but if they mess up, I could still see a flip. Upstate New York is unpredictable.

Agree. But it's still the MOST republican and Trumpish district in NY. Under minimally normal situation republicans must hold it.
