Well I know that the upper east side of Manhattan is heavily republican

Well, by Manhattan's standard it is. Republican candidate for Assembly or city council there can count on 30-35% of vote. And relatively recently area even elected Republican state Senators and Assembly members (very moderate socially, of course, but still..)

There's already a topic on this, I think.  Well, at least on richest towns/cities.  In that one, most people who bothered to look it up (including a poster from Massachusetts) found that the richest cities/towns, even in blue states, voted for Romney.

Shouldn't exactly surprise anyone.

Tom, then - what about Upper East Side? It's a rich area...)))))
