I may be bias, but Baker is seeing a ton of momentum in Massachusetts. Hopefully it continues Smiley

Baker is rather good candidate, but Massachusetts is too Democratic and too liberal simultaneously for him to win barring Democratic candidate gaffes. But, this Democratic candidate being (probably) Coakley - everything is possible...

I don't think Coakley is a good candidate, she is a disaster in my opinion.

That's exactly what i have said. Would Democratic candidate be Grossman - it would be more difficult for Baker, despite some recent polls allegedly showing otherwise. Grossman is simply less well-known then Coakley, but, at the same time - less error-prone.

Can someone explain why Martha Coakley is so disliked???

Being responsible for losing the supermajority, not campaigning (and actually complaining about having to do it), and dismissing Curt Schilling (an old pitcher for the Red Sox, hero of the 2004 World Series run, and my childhood hero) as "just another Yankee fan" after he endorsed Brown.

It is a Gubernatorial election though. Voters seem to care about a candidates independence and campaign more there than in a Senate or Presidential campaign.

I think it's a lean/competitive election no matter who the Democrats nominate, though Grossman is probably the best general election candidate. From what it seems, Baker's running a better campaign this time around, so this race is one to look out for.

Agree. But, generally, expect narrow Democratic win. Though everything is, certainly, possible.

Guys,
Seriously, I don't see the democrats lose the MA governorship. I really think she's underrated.

They did it many times. 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002 - as most recent examples. 16 years of Republican victories
