She has better claim to the mantle than Trump ever did.

The only thing they have in common is being horrible, ignorant human beings who never belonged in the White House.
Of course you must be referring to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump😊😀

She comes off too coldly to be Reaganesque.

Yep. That's her main problem - there's a certain ice queen quality to her.
Again you must be talking about Hillary😊 nice to know that we are on the same wavelength about Hillary Clinton😉

Maybe.
Over time, she is going to remind a certain number of voters (particularly some male voters) of the new breed of "power suit" wearing female exec who rose to the top, then handed them their pink slip or announced that the company was moving its production operations to China or India, and they had to train their replacements to get their pay.  An unfair stereotype, I grant you, but if THIS is all she has, she won't wear well.  She's an outsider, but she's NOT a populist; she's an "establishment Republican" who hasn't been elected to anything yet.  She gets some mileage out of being the only female in a party that suffers from a "gender gap", but that, too, has limited value; if Morry Taylor did what she did, he wouldn't be compared to Reagan as she is.

Try and put that bad stuff on a bumper sticker or a 30 second add😉 unfortunately most of the unwashed masses are not endowed with a grasp of the market place. She only did what many of us would do in a similar circumstances. Scale back, make cuts and find ways to reduce red ink. It's that or going into the ditch.
If it's not relative to our own lives, we can all pontificate and make snap judgements.  Are we looking for a President who can project decisive leadership skills or a nice fuzzy Mr. Rogers?

Come to think of it, if Carly makes it and wins the whole enchilada, and if her presidency makes into a second term, then the Reagan comparison analogy would be ideal and preferable. She will be the first woman President and that would be pretty awesome, if you ask me.
