It seems unlikely for Democrats to be competitive here.

Georgia is pretty conservative. The party out of the White House tends to do better in midterm elections. And the midterm electorate is older and whiter.

However, for the same reasons, John Barrow may decide a risky election for Governor is more worthwhile than a risky reelection bid for Congress.
