Yes. Part of North Wales (the Lleyn Peninsula) was (due to local referendums) dry on a Sunday until the Major Government gerrymandered the local authority boundaries to stop this from being the case. And the Lleyn is a lovely area.

Dry on Sundays isn't the same as totally dry, which certain counties and towns in the south are. See the thread in US General.

I do know that, which is why I specifically mentioned the bit about Sunday's.
I don't drink a lot anyway, so it'd be of no concern to me.
