Bilberries/whinberries (the best fruit on the planet raw, cooked or preserved), cherries, apples (specifically Cox's Orange Pippin in season as an eating apple, Bramley as a cooker), and wild strawberries. Which is four, but whatever.

But then there's also wild blackberries. Raspberries as good as well. Plums have quite the range, but the best are wonderful.

No, the best fruit for alcohol is the apple. For making it anyway. The apple would be followed by the grape or the pear (all that 'pear cider' stuff is disgusting sickly rubbish, but actual perry is delicious).
