I've hinted at this in some threads few people have read and I've mentioned it in the odd PM or two, but I suppose I'd better make this clear anyways:

Due to a longstanding illness (actually that's a plural) and the resulting painkillers and stuff, I'm retiring from frontline AF politics for the forseeable future (ie: a month or two).
I would have had to have done this no matter what the results of the Presidential or D3 Senate races.

When I feel a bit better I'll probably see if there's a small regional office I can run for or something. Maybe not. I don't really know yet.

In the meanwhile I'm open to part-time employment as an advisor on poverty etc. issues, although I wouldn't be able to start anything on that just yet.

Yet ANOTHER Presidental candidate that had no intention of actually holding the office.  Great.

Actually I did intend to hold office (although I didn't expect to even come close to winning) it's just that things have got worse during the last week or so (and worse still in the past few days).
I would probably have tried to get reforms on crime and economic development through, but I don't know how long I'd have been able to stay in the job.
