Erm... Pete... we've already got a constitution, it's just never been codeified.

All the Acts of Parliament are in effect our constitution(I love the fact that the NHS is a part of the UK constitution!), although there are various traditions etc.(eg. Parliament is BOSS) that could do with writing down.

Interesting idea though, I'll give it a closer look in a few days time.
