could you please split NY state in to NYC, NY suburbs (anything in the metro), plus upstate

what do you define that as

Does this work:

NYC (five boroughs)
suburbs (Nassau Suffolk Westchester)
Upstate (everywhere else)
not sure where Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, and Putnam.
I would actually prefer you just leave out those counties all together.  As they are considered outer suburbs.

do you have up-state from outside the (New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area)

I'm curious how that relates to the outer boroughs.

my hypothesis is that the white vote will be more for McCain in the Outer Boroughs then up state.
