One other factor I'd like to through open to discussion is the green factor.  I did campaign work in Reno/Carson area.  Not only is it filled with ex-N.Californians who cashed out, it also has a lot of Sierra Club'ers who might be seen as conservative otherwise.  How is Bush's atrocious environmental record going to play?  Can Ensign be tagged for this?  Kerry seemed to write off the state after a lot of misrepresentation on his mining fee stance, but seemed very able to draw crossover voters on environment issues in the North.  Comments?
