Isn't the policy for a federal senate election to hold a runoff if both the candidates are tied in the final round (which in this case would be the first)? That's what was going to happen in February 2014 between TNF and Lumine until the latter conceded.

Either way, congratulations to both candidates on a great effort. I'm sure either one will do a good job.

I would assume so, since we don't have any designated election procedure for a special regional senate election other than the federal guidelines.

There is no reason not to count my vote. I moved less than a week before the booth opened so it's valid. In addition, we have precedent for this in a Northeast Senate Special Election. In July 2013, DemPGH moved to the Pacific less than a week before the booth opened and his vote for Bore was counted.

The socialist avatar from Maine was a few minutes after the ballot closed.

According to you: This booth will open on July 9 at 23:59:59 EST and close on July 12 at 23:59:59 EST - voting before this time will invalidate your ballot.

So are you sure???

He did open the voting booth 2 minutes after the stating opening time, but the issue is even if you account for that, the socialist avatar missed the 72 hour deadline by 6 minutes so he's invalid. Regardless, it might be good to have a court case to settle the issue about the NE Clarity Act. I do think Sawx has done the best job possible in these circumstances though, and he should be commended for that.
