The Democrats should just support him, as they did with Sanders in Vermont.  It would be worth ousting LePage. 

I suspect many Democratic voters will vote for him strategically this time.

What is the deal with these independents and Democrats running against each other in Maine? I get that the Democrat was more right-wing than Chafee in RI-GOV 2010 but what is the disagreement here? These guys don't strike me as Bernie Sanders independents.
