1968:
Humphrey: 356 (45.7%)Nixon: 137 (41.2%)Wallace: 45 (13.2%)From memory, I played rather moderate hero, with heavy attacks over the peace sabotage talks and Nixon's reluctance over having debates. Seemingly worked well, as I won the vast majority of swing seats (and there were a crazy amount of these for whatever reason).
Some of those states were within very narrow margins - all of Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Iowa and Kentucky were within 1%.
2012:
Again played somewhat moderate hero. In the end, won the same margin as the RL Obama. IIRC North Carolina and Iowa were the tightest states.
