Look at alternative energies and study the viability of them. (What's the best way to deal with nuclear waste? How feasible is solar energy? etc.)
Funding for hybrid power cars. Try to lessen our reliance on fuel.
Moratorium on fracking/drilling until the true effects of it are realised (I'm not opposed to this in theory, but it could easily f**k our environment)
