Some day our galaxy will collide with Andromeda.

It would be interesting to be there when it happens.

I don't believe humans will ever be able to travel the current distance.

Perhaps the reason for these collisions has something to do with gravity.

This YouTube video talks about the technical aspects of how the two will collide and merge, or if they miss each other completely ...



Very interesting videos. If the two end up colliding they will either pass through each other or form a new galaxy called "Milkdromeda".
