Counterculture Libertarian is a holdover from the late 1990s.


Any article that explains this phenomenon? Was this brought up from the rise of anti-PCism popular culture that was mainstream from 1998-2001 such as South Park, Nu-metal, rap, WWF, and Jerry Springer?

Leftism is the same way with authority.

That depends on the authority.

Although, it does with libertarianism too (see the willingness to accept corporate authority).

Authority such as cops and military are distrusted by most leftists.

Then how come leftist politics are as common as libertarian politics on the internet even though it has the second best following of the ideology's?
