The train is said to have jumped over the 4 foot-high platform and gone through (stone) wall into the waiting room. Know tons and tons of people who go through here daily, including my dad, who says his train was redirected to Penn.

Looks like it didn't quite break through the wall, but from this view it looks like the train hit it. There's a concession stand pretty much on that exact spot, maybe a bit to the left; if the guy was in it at the time they would have been crushed. Sad

EDIT:



Seems like the stand was at least hit on the side. I see the rolling barriers seem to be down but I doubt it was closed, probably brought down by the force of the impact.
