I have a couple things that I was thinking would best go in this thread.

Ugh, Snowstalker, your posts are so terrible I come to the Deluge to find one of your posts in here, and end up posting another of yours in it.

But it also might be because I am easily distractible. I'm currently writing three (perhaps even four) posts, each cut off in the middle to go and write another one, and have posted some four in the interim. To top it off I went on Wikipedia to look at something and ended up in the middle of editing a bunch of pages. Jesus.

Realized that the music I listen to is pretty much 100% Baroque/Classical Christian sacred music and, excepting Handel, is basically all in Latin.  Why do I have a playlist that's all various settings of the Te Deum Laudamus?

I'm partial to Dvorak's; I feel like I've mentioned this before...

The thread was peacefully dormant until I bothered it with the the prospect of posting some silly and slightly embarrassing stuff.

I mean I'm all very sorry for what Cory's going through but it's not at all what I was expecting to be posted. A blow to the gut and all.

I am moderately embarrassed by the fact that I went to a public school.

As am I by the fact that I went to a private school.

Can we switch? Tongue

You would not have liked my school.

Would I have heard of it?

Simfan, you should move to the UK and tell everyone you went to a "public school". You might have to bluff some of the arcane details of the arcane public schools (possibly make one up, Eton and Harrow might be too on the nose) but you'll get a thumbs up from the upper middle-class.

Charterhouse? Worksop? Blue Coat?

Maybe I should do the same here. Claim I went to somewhere less... pedestrian than Suburban High School. Blair Academy, perhaps? Possibly a bit too close to home, but I'm reasonably familliar.

I should have done it for real back in middle school. Applied for a minority scholarship and everything. I know quite a few people who did that, actually. Now I have this permanent stain on my record. Tongue

Wear having been to a comp (or in the American vernacular public school) like a badge of honour.

Impossible.

I must say Cassius, I have much respect for your experience after reading of it.
